College Park vs South Bay, Sat. 3/31/07 at 10am

The rain and multiple no-shows led to an unlucky loss to Aptos on Monday night, but we get a chance to turn the tides on Saturday against South Bay, formally Valley Christian, at Watson Bowl.  Kickoff is at 10am, and all players are expected to arrive no later than 9am.  This is the league finale, and if other games go our way, we could sneak into the playoffs with a win.    Don’t let this be your last opportunity to put on a College Park jersey!  We expect everybody at practice on Wed, as well as Sat.  Email me if you cannot make practice or the game!

College Park at Los Altos, Fri. 3/23/07 at 5:30pm

This coming Friday, we will be taking on Los Altos at 5:30pm. The game is at Los Altos Highschool and players are expected to arrive no later than 4:30. This is a very important game for us, with a possible playoff birth at stake. Be at practice Monday & Wednesday prepared to work.

College Park at Aptos, Mon. 3/26/07 @ 6:30

The College Park vs Aptos game has been rescheduled for Monday 3/26/07 at 6:30 at Aptos High.  We will meet at 4:30 at Washington Park and carpool to the field.  Don’t be late!  This game has playoff implications, so make sure to be available on Monday night, and to be at training on Wed.

College Park at Peninsula Green, Sat. 3/10/07 at 11am

Great effort in our scrimmage vs. EPA last weekend.  We’ll need that and more on Saturday against Peninsula Green up at Woodside High.  We’ll be meeting at Washington Park to carpool at 9:15.  Don’t be late!  The game kicks off at 11am.  We will also be playing a 3rd half, for the younger and new players.  If you have not turned in your forms and dues, BRING THEM SATURDAY!  Merchandise will be passed out Monday.  After our game, the entire team will head down the street to Stanford U. where reigning national highschool champs, Jesuit (Sacramento), will be taking on Stanford at 2pm.  It should be a great game with perfect weather, and an opportunity to watch some high powered rugby.  See you Saturday!

Fundraiser Sat. 3/10/07

Our fundraiser is this Saturday at 2516 Samaritan Dr Suite F Los Gatos, Ca 95124.  Make sure to finish selling all of your fundraiser forms that were handed out at last week’s and Monday’s practices.  Either collect the checks yourself, and return them to the coaches, or have your buyers bring them to the event.  Remember, selling as many as you can will be worth your wild.  I’ve emailed more flyers today.  Also, I will have all the new merchandise at Monday’s practice including balls.  As for this weekend’s game, expect an AM kickoff.  Stay tuned for more info.

College Park at East Palo Alto, Sat. 3/3/07 at 11am

We played well last week, atleast the few guys that were available.  We’ll need all hands on deck for our game against perenial power East Palo Alto on Saturday.  Make sure that you’re out at practice, rain or shine, on Wednesday.  We’ll meet at Washington Park at 9:15am on Saturday and carpool up to Palo Alto for our 11am kickoff.  The game is at 49ers field.  Don’t be late!

Website profiles to be updated 3/5/07

If you want to have your name and profile updated to the website, you must have your paperwork and dues turned in by the end of practice on Monday 3/5/07.  I will also be taking pictures for the profiles at practice.  In the following days, I will update everybody’s profile on the website.  Click on the picture to see what your profile will look like.

Practice Mon. 2/26/07

Practice will, as usual, be at 3:30 at Washington Park. We will have a reporter from the San Jose Community Newspapers on hand to take pictures and interviews for articles in the Willow Glen Times, Campbell Times, Almaden Times, and Blossom Hills Times. Wear your practice jerseys (if you have bought them yet. bring your waivers and dues if you have not). We are still accepting new players, so get your buddies out there.

College Park vs Silicon Valley Sat. 2/24/07 9:30am

Our first league game is still scheduled for this Sat. (2/24) at 9:30am. Players are to arrive no later than 8:30 at Watson Bowl. I know most of you are gone for ski week, but if you are in town or can leave your vacations early, please do so.

If the Silicon Valley game is not enough rugby for you, the San Jose Seahawks will play at Watson Bowl after our game. Another men’s game Sat. is at 3pm at Pepsi Field in Hayward where the top two men’s teams in Northern California, the Olympic Club & San Mateo are squaring off. There are 5 College Park alumni playing for the Olympic Club. See you Saturday!
